How is the price of translation determined?
It is important to know that many factors simultaneously influence the formation of translation prices:
- Certification of translation - certified translations are often more expensive, and most documents need to be certified to be valid in foreign countries.
- Translation language - less common languages can be more expensive.
- Time required to produce a quality translation - the shorter the deadline, the less possibility for an additional discount.
- Complexity and volume of the original text - we can offer a discount for larger volumes of text and in the case of long-term collaboration.
- Additional formatting or editing - this is sometimes the case with more complex catalogs and brochures.
The basic price
The basic price for 1 text page (1500 characters with spaces) is 20.00 EUR. However, this basic price can change depending on the above factors.
According to the Regulation on Permanent Court Interpreters, certification of the translated text is charged at 30% of the translation price.
For urgent translations, a 50% surcharge is applied to the translation price (an urgent translation is considered the delivery of the translated text within 12 hours of receiving the material for translation).

The price of proofreading 1 text page (1500 characters with spaces) of text in English : 4.00 EUR
Tutoring service is charged per periods (45 min). The price per 45 min of tutoring is 12.00 EUR.
What is a text page?
When discussing the pricing for translation services, we use a text page as the unit of measurement. Following the recommendation of the Association of Court Interpreters and Translators, we measure the amount of text by the the text page which is calculated as 1500 characters with spaces.

The time required to complete a translation depends on the volume and complexity of the text that the court interpreter needs to translate. According to the standard rate, a court interpreter can translate 4 sheets of text from Croatian to a foreign language and 6 sheets of text from a foreign language to Croatian per working day.
